The theme in the story is to pursue what makes you happy or to keep trying and do not quit. The plot consists of the little girl trying things that are not hers to taste. To her dismay the family of bears find her, and she runs away. The story consists of a little girl going to a family of bears’ cottage (house is full of three bears) where she finds the appropriate porridge temperature, chair texture and bed firmness. Goldilocks and the Three Bears by Gavin Scott is a children’s folklore book designed for ages 4-8.
